Around You and Around You AI (“the Platform”) are operated by the Around You team (“we,” “us,” “our”) for hyperlocal food discovery in India — helping users find dishes, places, offers, and related details near them.

The Platform combines searchable food-related information (including material aggregated from public online sources) with AI-assisted responses. Features, coverage areas, data, and content may evolve at any time without notice.

2. Food information & sources

To make search faster and easier, the Platform may include food-related content drawn from publicly available information online (for example open listings, websites, or similar sources) and processed for retrieval — alongside AI-generated summaries or suggestions.

Such content may include business names, places, menus or dishes, prices, offers, timings, addresses, and map links. It may not be exhaustive, real-time, or verified. Menus, prices, halal/veg labels, hours, and availability can change without updates here.

You should confirm critical details directly with the venue (especially allergies, dietary needs, payments, and safety) before you rely on them.

3. “Verified” and Trust Badges

Labels such as “Verified,” blogger counts, user counts, and similar signals (where shown) are informational signals within the product experience. Unless we publish separate, explicit verification criteria for a given badge, they do not mean that a business has been independently audited, certified, or officially endorsed by Around You or any government or standards body.

They do not constitute a quality guarantee, safety certification, or legal accreditation. Display names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. No Endorsement or Affiliation

The display of any business name, brand name, trademark, logo, or place on the Platform does not imply any partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or approval by or with that entity. All trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.

Businesses and places mentioned have not necessarily reviewed, approved, or contributed to the content associated with them on this Platform.

5. AI-Generated Content

Answers and recommendations in Around You AI are produced by artificial intelligence (AI) models and may combine retrieved food-related information with generated text. AI-generated content:

• May contain errors, inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information
• May not reflect current offers, hours, prices, or availability
• Is not a substitute for visiting the venue or contacting them directly
• Should not be used as the basis for financial, legal, medical, safety, or any other professional decision

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any AI-generated content.

6. Not Professional Advice

Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal, financial, medical, dietary, safety, travel, investment, or any other form of professional advice. Always verify information independently with the relevant business, official source, or a qualified professional before taking any action.

7. Location Data & Privacy

If you grant location access, your geographic coordinates are used only to contextualise search results for that session. We do not store, sell, or share your location data with third parties beyond what is necessary to respond to your query.

Map links displayed on the Platform redirect to Google Maps, a third-party service governed by Google’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Around You is not responsible for Google Maps’ content or data handling.

Our collection, use, and storage of personal data is governed by applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We will publish a full Privacy Policy before moving to a general commercial launch.

8. Intermediary Status (IT Act, 2000)

To the extent applicable under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Platform may function as an intermediary. Food-related and other listings may be aggregated from publicly available online sources and processed with AI; the Platform does not claim to originate or guarantee the underlying facts.

9. Intellectual Property

All original design, code, and interface elements of the Platform are the property of Around You. Business names, brand names, logos, and trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are referenced only for informational purposes under applicable law.

10. No Warranty

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and all other applicable laws of India, Around You and its operators, directors, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any:

• Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Business interruption or personal injury

arising out of or in connection with your use of, reliance on, or inability to access or use the Platform or its content.

12. User Responsibilities

By using this Platform, you agree to:

• Use it for lawful purposes only
• Not rely solely on Platform responses for important decisions
• Independently verify any information before acting on it
• Not use the Platform to harm, defame, or mislead others

We may update these Terms and Disclaimer at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mysuru, Karnataka, India.
